Grey Goshawk

Grey Goshawk, Boondall wetlands, Brisbane. Grey Goshawks frequent most forest types, especially tall closed forests (including rainforests) in the coastal areas of northern and eastern Australia. They feed on birds, small mammals, reptiles and insects, capturing prey by striking with their long, powerful clawed toes. They pursue prey in flight, striking at speed, and even chasing prey into dense undergrowth.

Acknowledgement of Country

There is so much to learn from the oldest continuous living culture in the world, whose ways of knowing continue to challenge and enlighten me.

I accept that the sovereignty to this land was never handed over or given up. The continuing connection and culture of Traditional Custodians/First Nations peoples is something I recognise, and I offer respect to the Elders – past, present and future – of the lands on which I work, travel and live.
